I have been trying lots of new things this past month so I have a couple of favorites to talk to you about! To begin with, only this past month I decided to invest in a beauty blender and find out what all the fuss was about. Let me tell you that the fuss is justified. Before trying the beauty blender, I tried the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and I really didn’t like it. I thought it was too hard on my face and it wasn’t soft enough to reach all the curves in my face, the hard spots to reach. When I washed it, it literally fell apart so I threw it away. The original beauty blender is soft, works great when damp, it’s so easy to wash, and it applies just enough product.
The next product, I mentioned in my everyday makeup post, is IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. I’ve tried a couple of foundations and I always feel like it’s too much on my face and I hate it. The CC Cream provides just enough coverage and just helps me even out my skin tone, I love it! If you’re not a fan of feeling the makeup on your face and just want something that provides a little bit of coverage, I strongly recommend this CC Cream.
Reading beauty blogs and watching beauty YouTubers, everyone has had something to say about Tarte’s Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer so I had to try it. Getting your hands on it is really hard at this time as everyone’s been purchasing and stores are out of stock and a lot of the shades are out of stock online, but I DID IT! And I love it! The applicator sometimes feels a little too big and it’s hard to not apply too much product, but once on, it blends in so easily and covers up those dark circles that are always giving us a hard time. In my opinion, I think it’s a little too thick for other areas of the face to lighten like the spot between your eyebrows and your chin, but for covering dark circles it’s great.
My next favorite is a tinted eyelash primer, Benefit’s They’re Real! Tinted Lash Primer. This product is also part of my everyday makeup routine, I first got it in a Birchbox and I LOVED it. It really does make a difference when applying mascara afterward and if you just want to go for a natural look, you just want to add some volume and definition to your lashes, this is the perfect product. I highly recommend it. Another “eye” product is Rimmel’s Brow This Way Brow Sculpting Kit. I’m not an eyebrow pro and I don’t like the too perfect, “eyebrow’s on fleek” look, but I do like to fill them in a little and make them look a little bolder. This has been the perfect product for that. Zoella recommended it in her last drugstore haul.
MAC’s Prep+Prime Fix +, I am sure you’ve heard a lot about this as it has been a beauty favorite of so many for a long time, but I only got my hands on it last month. It’s a great product, it really does set my makeup and kind of helps me feel like I’m not wearing that much product if that makes sense.
Aaaaand the last product is NYX’s Liquid Suave in the shade Sandstorm. Not much to say about this other than I love it, I’m obsessed and I wear it pretty much every day. They’re really pigmented and there’s not drying at all. Really similar to Colourpop’s Ultra Satin lip.
What are some of the products you’ve been loving this month?
